This historic stone building offers a rare opportunity to stay within one of Central Otago’s most significant heritage estates, surrounded by mature trees, gardens planted more than a century ago, and sweeping rural views. It’s an ideal base for cyclists, wine lovers, and anyone wanting to slow down and experience the region at an easy, unhurried pace.

Carefully restored by the owners, Ryan & Marco, the three-bedroom Coach House blends original heritage features—exposed stone, timber detailing, and thoughtful antiques with modern comfort and convenience. Inside you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, a cosy lounge warmed by a wood burner, a modern bathroom, and laundry facilities, along with safe parking and exterior e-bike charging for longer stays. Spend your days riding the Lake Dunstan Trail, exploring nearby wineries, or wandering the historic grounds, then return for a long shower and a glass of local Pinot in front of the outdoor fire. Guests enjoy complete privacy during their stay, with the option to arrange a host-led tour of the castle (subject to availability) for a deeper insight into this remarkable and carefully preserved property. The minimum stay at The Coach House is 2 nights.
