“This was slightly more than we were wanting to pay, however it turned out to be even better than expected! There were 6 of us in the end- ourselves in our 60s, my brother and his wife about the same age, and 2 nephews in their 20s. We had a really flexible and useful space to prepare meals, have meals together, and relax. We were able to walk into town, and were able to get to the Warbirds over Wanaka air show on 2 separate days. There were beautiful views from the property, and each bedroom had access to a separate bathroom- so it was ideal! We also appreciated the excellent supply of cutlery, dish ware, cooking facilities and washing facilities. It was perfect and we had a wonderful four nights, thank you!”

Every aspect of your stay is thought of from kitchen and fridge items, through to the bathroom and salts for the luxurious outdoor bath. “This villa near Beacon Point on the bank of Lake Wanaka was wonderful. The back deck with views of the lake is completely private. We saw beautiful sunsets from the entire back of the house. At night the sky is completely dark over the lake with spectacular stars. This villa totally exceeded our expectations. Lovely.”

“We had a wonderful time at Ranger’s Retreat. The location is simply stunning. The view of the fields and mountains is beautiful and instantly relaxing. The house truly lacks nothing – everything you could possibly need is there. Everything was also spotlessly clean. The garden is equally enchanting and invites you to linger. Sheep graze all around, giving the whole area a particularly idyllic atmosphere. Wanaka is also easily accessible by car, making day trips a breeze. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return in a heartbeat!”
